Case study : Industry association
Situation
Crosby|Textor was engaged by an association following
a proposal by the Federal Government to impose an excise
on the industry.
Crosby|Textor conducted qualitative and quantitative research to gauge the attitudes and perceptions of the Australian population and to identify arguments both in favour and against
our client's case.
Using this research as a foundation, Crosby|Textor embarked on a lobbying campaign to present the industry's case and convince the Federal Government why the proposal was not in the wider public interest.
Result
Crosby|Textor's research pin-pointed arguments that resonated with the Australian population and helped mount a compelling case in our client's favour. With Crosby|Textor's assistance, our client was able to convince the Federal Government the proposal was not in the wider public interests of the Australian population and significant modifications were made.
As a secondary benefit, the industry association has significantly lifted its profile in Canberra with both the Government and Opposition recognising it as a credible and professional voice.
